Hey, wait - aren't you shooting police officers in this game? You know, the guys with buzz sticks in the beginning of the game? Don't you fight them?

Awesome. I played the demo of this game, and there IS a small amount of sexual content - in the form of Dr. Breen answering a letter asking why they have suppressed the reproductive cycle.

Dr. Breen responds by saying that "instinct is the enemy" and that by removing this urge, we are one step closer to becoming less instinctive and more logical.

While the context this is in does not render it exceptionally sexual, I do believe it deserves mention.

Well, I say look down at cameron nutter's post, I'll copy the meat of it off.
Violence:

Easily the worst aspect in the entire game. Throughout the beginning of the game, yo don't see too much gore, but there is definitely blood. Whenever you kill a combine, their blood sprays on the wall, or on the ground. At about the half-way point of the game, you end up at a place called “RavenHolm” which is a very unwelcoming place. There, you see zombies chopped in half, with their blood dripping. One is even razored to the wall. A pair of legs are hung from a tree. It can get very bad. Though some of it is not totally realistic, it can still make you want to throw up sometimes. No option to turn the blood off it available.

Language:

Not awful, but certainly not clean either. D---, A--, Ba-----, H---, and S--- make their way into the game, some more than others. Though not in the game too much, they are still there. Once or twice throughout the game Gods name is taken is vain. Towards the end of the game, Barney implies saying a word but it cut off by the sound of a ship overhead. “Hey Gordan! When you see Breen, tell him I said F--- you!” Again, you cannot hear him say the word. There is no option to turn off the language.

Sexual Content:

Virtually, none! Luckily, there is hardly a single comment on the subject. The only thing that comes close to sexual related things is where Alex's dad is picking on her by saying that "Gordon can't handle her!", which of course, could be taken the wrong way, or not.

Spiritual Content:

Raven Holm is as close it gets to any type of spiritual content, because the “Father” quotes lots of bible saying, implying that he is a man of God.

Decide yourself, the violence COULD include dismemberment or blood that was already in the game, from what I've seen, (playing metal gear solid 2), when you attack, no blood, preset blood stays, however. I have no clue as for this game.

Maybe. The enviroments textures where the "Zombies" are will still contain blood though. But, if you are not that sensitive, it should be fine.

Hello! With the blood turned off, enemies disappear a few seconds after dying, however there is alot of blood in any and all missions involving zombies. I've noticed that sometimes if you shoot someone and they don't die there will be a (small) bloody bullet wound, though I'm not sure if I've seen that in HL2 or just gmod. One thing I noticed in HL2 ep 1 if you shoot a certain type of zombie in the head, it will lose it (not much gore, and since the enemies disappear you won't see it long). Also, certain bladed objects can cut zombies in half, though it isn't very bloody (and again, they disappear rather fast). Hope this helps.

So, with the blood and gore turned off, would this game be somewhat appropriate for a 12-13 year-old?
