   Also, when Carth, Bastila, and Revan (you) are captured and interrogated on the Leviathan, Bastila appears in her underwear. If you are playing a female, she will appear in her underwear during this scene and during another scene on Tatooine.
   Regretfully, there is no way to turn off the profanity in this game, which appears occasionally in the form of “d-mn”. Since this game spans about 60 hours over 6-7 planets, a little here and there all adds up to the 20 profanities aforementioned.
   If you would like to preview the game before buying it or renting it, you can do so by going to Google Video and typing “KOTOR” and a number from 1 to 133.

   By the way, Bastila Shan provides a rather twisted worldview. In a lame justification of why she didn’t kill Revan, she says that “No one deserves to die, no matter what their crimes .” I suppose that’s why she killed scores of Sith, Brejik, and Admiral Saul Karath (:/). In actuality, we all deserve to die. All have fallen short of the glory of God and the wages of sin are death. But I guess that since the Jedi don’t have the benefit of the Bible to guide them, they are bound to make some theological errors. ‘_’

   This is one amazing game that I still play and have owned since it came out. I woudn’t reccomend for the younger star wars fan though. There’s ONE implied sexual scene (avoidable, and obscure, in Davik’s estate in Taris), mentioning of the D word about 20 times sprinklked throughout (most came from the character Carth <_<) and a very very small amount of scantily clad females. No one really speaks of this though and no one says anything sexual of it.

   The language in the game is heavier than in the movies, that’s for sure, and in any other Star Wars game. The language is usually avoidable. The violence is basically just Star Wars and T-Rated-game violence. Fun game, good gameplay. If you choose to kill people all the time (going Dark Side), then it’ll be kinda dark, in the sense you just kill people for no reason, and just because you feel like it. Personally, I went Light Side. Female clothing is the same old Twi’lek dancer type outfit, about once or twice, but very rarely seen. And yes, Bastilla can be unequipped of clothes and in her underwear. Not too bad, but, there’s no purpose in doing it, and it’s rare that anyone stumbles upon it by accident.

   Something that’s apparent to me in Star Wars: KotoR, as well as the rest of the Star Wars legacy, is that the Jedi have beliefs similar to that of Buddhism and Shinto from the far Eastern cultures. That may be something for Christian parents to take into consideration before letting younger children play this game.

   My favourite aspects of non linear games are the moral choices they allow us to make. they have a sneaky habbit of showing people up for who they really are. turns out i’m a jedi. Even in game land i find it really tough to compromise my morals and do un moral deeds. I really do hope i’m not the only one.

   lol about the d words in the game. Most of the time, it’s the aliens, so if you don’t have the subtitles on, or look away from the screen, you will miss it.

    Actually, most of the time, its Carth who blurts out swears so casually as they are a regular part of his vocabulary. If you don’t talk to him much, you’ll miss most of the language the game has to offer. Not even the evil Mandalorian, Canderous, curses as much as Carth, who is on the light side <_< . Still, the game’s language really isn’t that thick to begin with, but most of them were said by Carth, not the aliens. At least, that was what I gathered.

    This game is awsome! I don’t know were to start. Another fine product from Bioware. The people who brought you the Baldur’s Gate series, Icewind Dale and Neverwinter Nights have struck again. In fact the game is remarkably like Neverwinter Nights but excels in so many different areas than it’s counterpart. And the fact that it is Star Wars, which has so much more appeal to the regular joe than a D&D game, just adds to the factor.

    Let’s talk about plot. Yessir, please. This is the greatest plot ever put into an RPG game. The major plot twist ranks up there with the Usual Suspects. To those readers out there who haven’t played the game, I am not exaggerating. To you newbies, pay attention to the dialog in the game and the unfolding plot rather than concentrating on the action. You will smile at the coolness of it all when IT occurs.

    Not to say the action won’t keep you salivating. From the get go, you are thrown into battle with a whole series of choices for your character to make. The character creation is reminiscent of the third edition D&D game, but is still not too overwhelming for a newbie. Plus half the fun is juggling your choices on leveling to see what the outcome might be. This gives it major replay value. If you have a high end computer, sit back and watch in glee as the battles unfold especially aboard the bridge of an Imperial ship. Your character somersaults, twists, turns, ducks as sparks fly when lightsabers crash all while laser blasts criss cross in the background. Great stuff! Another advantage this game has over Neverwinter Nights is the choice of two henchman whom you can level as you please. There are a lot of choices for henchman, each with their own engaging story and quests. Play them all. I am sure you will.

    The game has a variety of planets from the Star Wars world to visit on your Millennium Falcon like spaceship, the Ebon Hawk. Visit Kashykk, the jungle like planet of the wookies, the desert world of Dantooine, the waterworld of Manaan or the barren wasteland of Korriban, home of the Sith.It has mini games such as Pod Racing (great fun) and gambling in the cantinas with a game called Pazaak. It has a huge variety of armor, weapons and items. Then there’s the lightsaber. You can find various crystals in the game that increase the power of your saber which I found very exciting as my character explored his surroundings. My choice to dual wield made the game that much more fun.

    Play this game soon. Immerse yourself in the Star Wars world for at least 48 (maybe more) solid hours of game play. I am sure you will be swept away into the epic of it all and make you cry out for more.

    Well, personally I enjoyed the game. It did have a good bit of profanity, d*** and h*** mainly by Carth. There are a few love interest type things, but those are optional.

    I love this game its like a movie that you can control, a movie thats affected by your choices, its the most addictive RPG game since World or Warcraft. My 8 year old loves it! I recemend it to all who read my comment.

    To samwise gamgee. Your incorrect, they said that the jedi don’t kill there prisoners as in they don’t believe in excution. Jedi do however kill to protect themselves and others. Yes, not excuting guilty people is bad but thats only a minor flaw in the characters morality. The jedi is really not so twisted and technically bejik was killed by your avatar not bastilla….

    This is one of my favorite games. The story and gameplay were very well done. It was the first hybrid rpg I had played.

    I didn’t see mention of one thing though: the dialog between you and Juhani (female Cathar party member) can turn …romantic if your charater is female.

    I really disliked this game. You can run aroud in your underwear. There wasn’t much language but any language is offensive. A skewed Bhudistic background marred the plotline. So did evolution.

    I haven’t been in a locker room. But being able to see people running around in their underwear is still offensive. As Christians we should avoid such things.

    The only offensive part is seeing the girls in their underwear. The men just look like their wearing a shirt and shorts.

    If you go nitpicking every little thing, then I would say you probably shouldn’t play games or watch TV at all. There’s something offensive in everything. Even Sonic would be considered violent.

    I for one liked this game. I’m sure I’m gonna get shot at for it, but I liked it.

    Well, I’m at fault as well. When it comes to my fellow Christians, I expect a double-barreled shotgun when there’s a conflict like this. It’s the one thing Christians, sad to say, do best: take shots at their own. There are certainly people who don’t, but you don’t see much of them.

    It’s been a while since I played this game, but I still think it’s one of the better ones out there, simply because of the choices and how those choices push us to one side or the other. I know it’s not inspired from Christianity, but I think there’s a lot to be found in Star Wars that can start a conversation.

    I’ve been a Star Wars fan my whole life.

    Everything mentioned before about the game is true, including the Juhanni relationship. Most of the bad things in this game CAN be avoided, as said before.. It can be seen as humorous to watch character run around in their underwear, or it can be considered offensive.. If you see that as humorous, and don’t take anything negative from it, have thoughts, or anything like that, then that’s fine. But sometimes you should just ignore certain things like the mild, bloodless violence in this game, and at least the characters DO wear underwear instead of nothing at all..

    Try to look at the positive, and less on the negative. No blood, no nudity, and the rest, including underwear and language, can be avoided if you know what you’re doing.

    this game rules. I love this game SOOOOOOOOOO much. Sometimes it does get iffy, like the part where you kiss Bastila in the Ebon hawk but that can be avoided. (Just don't talk to Bastila alot, but either way if your male you fall in love with her in the end!)

    I've seen that scene, You don't even see them kiss. Bastila just says, "shut up and kiss me," and then the screen goes black. So, I wouldn't say it's that iffy. But you're right. It's a great game.

    Well, you're right. I've never done the dark side. It's like God is telling me not to. And when im light side i killed Bastila once on the Star Forge. I went back to the load and re-did it, so i didn't kill her. It was like my heart was aching for some reason…
