]]> By: believer http://guide2games.org/2008-reviews/1483/maplestory/comment-page-1/#comment-4677 believer Mon, 22 Feb 2010 04:17:07 +0000 http://guide2games.org/?p=1483#comment-4677 i have to say that yes maple story is an OK game this review was written somewhat of a long time ago and things have changed before when the game was really clean when first released but now its becoming more corrupt. i don't think organelle designers intended for this but it happened. i used to walk around and id see crosses here and there and i felt pretty good i liked how this game was so clean and almost seemed somewhat untouched by the world. i remember one time i was somewhat surprised but glad when someone i knew made a class advancement from a magician to a cleric and in the class description it said a lot of christian things like how the holy spirit helps them and such and i thought that was a really cool how a mainstream game would go out and say something like that. But i guess somewhere up the chain of management money became more important and the game began drastically changing. it all started with the cash shop, more and more people started buying things out of it and a lot of those items aren't very good some of them show your bottom and other items are just plain disturbing such as demon wolf heads and goblin mask. Now you can even buy almost a whole horoscope outfit set,And if you think well I'm just not gonna buy any of the real money items there's a high chance you wont say that for long my brother and other relatives and people i know have spent hundreds on dollars on the ingame cashshop and nothing in that shop is of any use. now a days there's a fortune teller with her crystal ball in almost all of the major towns and there's a witch that hangs around kerning. Now putting all the un-biblical content aside(which there's a lot) this game is one of the most notorious of time wasters. all the time i see my brother hitting the same key over and over bored out of his mind but is too attached to the game to realize that its out of hand this game requires a lot of time and is very pointless. now you may find some christian guilds( groups or clubs) but that doesn't fix all the stuff your exposing yourself to in this game. That includes hackers ,scammers and trolls. These are people out there to make your life miserable. Hackers manipulate the games code with programs to obtain things instantly , fly or do anything that the game has specificly been designed not to do.
