Yeah, that's what I meant, I use them as a guideline in making my own standards, I have my limit, you have yours, doom 3, to me, actually isn't evil, just kind of border-lining on it, as games aren't inherently evil.

I didn't actually have a problem with Doom 3, other than that it scared me and I got bored after a while. I'd recommend making your own standards instead of just following mine, but I'm honored that you'd consider using them as a guideline. Take into account that I am older than you though.

If you're saying that no Christian should play it, then why have you completed it 3-4 times? I'd say this game's fine, having not even played it. It's honestly a game, there are games that are gory, but still ok to Christians (this one, colonel link plays games he sees fit, he has a limit to games, but this doesn't go past that limit, I'd prefer going with his limit, but I make exceptions as I'm not good at standing gory stuff, this would still be fine) and games that are gory, and practically evil (doom 3, I don't even think colonel link stood this one).

I have beaten this game about 3-4 times.
I dislike games with blood and gore, this game is the only one i own that has those 2 things.
The violence is rather heavy until about the 6th of 7th level i wouldn’t say it’s hardcore gore but there is allot of blood.
you can avoid some of it by using the nunchaku and lunar staff (after you upgrade the staff it causes blood damage).
Also the decapitations can be avoided as there are only certain moves that cause them (about 40% of the dragon swords moves do e.g “flying swallow” .
This game also moves INCREDIBLY fast, so fast that allot of the time you don’t even see the enemies vaporize.
In conclusion, the only reason why i own this game is cause I’m big on sword play, i dislike games with blood and even though there are ways around it i don’t play this game very often anymore. I’m not christian, but i agree with the christian stance on gaming.
Bottom line: If your christian i do NOT recommend this game.

Okay, so I need to reiterate. First: I've been doing some thinking on the subject and came to the conclusion that it's okay to play a game where you battle soulless or spiritless creatures. That's just fine. The thing that made me say "NO!" to the game was Alma, who, incidentally, doesn't wear any pants of any kind…

Well, look at the bright side. At least the stuff disappears really fast. Just don't get Gaiden 2. Stick to Gaiden or Black.
