i totally agree with your statement: "The only thing that bothers me more than when people see evil in things that where it is not is when people see God in things where He is not". i think many people do that with games to either justify playing them, or to make the game seem christian.

...I don't think it's right that you're comparing Jesus to a metal box prop.

Also, no, the Cube didn't really save Chell, it was just another part of the testchamber that chell had to use in order to pass, like the Portal Gun and all those other cubes. The Cube didn't really have any significance other than what was attributed to them by past participants of the test that had lost their minds during the test, like Wilson, the volleyball from Castaway.

I wouldn't say this game is coming from the worst creators, their games are good and have good points in them as well as very little profanity, though the games are violent they aren't over the top (except the new L4D2, I played the demo). All of the violence in any of Valve's games is always in self defense as well and against aliens or zombies and also other people online.

I'm downloading Portal the first slice right now. Also even though I've haven't played the game yet I know the second picture is in chamber 0. Anyway this game just adds up perfectly. If you just hate spoilers don't read the comment.SPOILERS STARTING NOW!!!!! Okay in my perspective of what I know from wikipedia, is the companion cube is like Jesus. It helps Chell overcome trials and tribulations like Jesus. And it's destruction is mourned. GLaDOS is like Satan. She makes Chell feel like she's her friend, and then at the last moment turns and attacks. And we humans are like Chell. Easily confused by the works of GLaDOS. Don't you see that this just relates to our spiritual life? the cube is like Jesus, it saved Chell. GLaDOS is like Satan, GLaDOS tryed to destroy Chell. The best game coming from the worst creators. How is it possible!? God says that good fruits cannot come from bad trees, nor can bad fruits come from good trees. Only 2 possible ways. Either this company had a change of heads, or this game is not what we think it is!!

This is a great game, incredible... amazing. I found the violence very low. If you have kids under 10 playing there is a way to turn the blood off, go into options->controls->advanced options and enable developer console. Start up a file and then go into the developer console by hitting ~ and then type in "violence_hblood 0" (without quotation marks of course). This is possibly the best puzzle game ever. Get it and enjoy for all ages (with blood off).

I love the game Portal too. I wouldn't go so far as to say it's squeaky clean though. GLADOS is gradually revealed to be a rather devious, almost evil computer who tricks and lies to your character to try to trap and kill you. Some of GLADOS's self-satisfied and smug comments when you fail are pretty mean. Still compared to most 3-D action games, it's pretty clean. Not squeaky, but clean. Parents who let kids play Portal should talk to their kids about GLADOS's behavior and let them know that her cutting remarks are not kind. Kids, nor adults for that matter, should not treat other people the way GLADOS does. You could possibly say the traps in the game are analogies for for the spiritually dangerous minefield that is our society. Just like in the game, there is one way to freedom. If you stray from that way, the Devil will trap you.

Best Puzzle Game I've ever played in my life! No language, and even though your character is a girl there is no sexual content or revealing outfits. As for blood, the turret scene might get a little messy, but other then that its fine. If you like games like this you'd love Portal!

 256MB of RAM
 32MB-64MB VRAM Direct-X 7 level graphics card(E.G, GeForce 1/2/4 MX series, Radeon 7xxx series)
 ~3 GB free HDD space
 Mouse and Keyboard
 Internet Connection

It is my favorite 360 game(other than madden) that i own. it's fairly bloody, but lots of fun. I beat it in about 3 hours. ok replay value.

Oh yeah, i forgot to mention that it’s hilarious and has a really funny end credits song.

Portal is an awesome game. I don't even like many puzzle games and I almost played it all day when I first tried it! I still haven't beat the game though... I've been stuck on one of the later puzzles for ages even though I know what to do... XD
