   !!!SPOILER ALERT!!!

   When you scout the Republic Assault Ship Prosecutor, the Trandoshans have done some pretty terrible things to the unfortunate clone troopers stationed there. As you walk through the ship, you will notice a few things–a arm here, a leg there, a helmet on the floor (dunno whether the head is still in there). Rather infrequent, but still something worthy of note. Also, a Trandoshan Heavy Assault Mercenary cruelly bayonets a clone to the wall as the latter screams “You cold-blooded scum!”

   The only other thing not mentioned in this review is that when you ask your fellow commando Scorch where he hid a data disk when captured, he says “Uhhh, you don’t wanna know.”

   When you shoot Trandoshans from afar, they let out a faint green mist; up close, a green goo can splatter across your visor. When you kill a Geonosian from afar or up close, it can explode, and little unidentifiable parts of it are found around the explosion. If you fight it up close, it can splatter brown goo over your visor. Also, if you use the Wookiee bowcaster, you can impale enemies, pinning them to the wall.

   I’m with Samwise on this one… the violence is fairly intense stuff, far worse than anything in the movies. I’d advise parents to be cautious with this one.

   I really don’t think it’s worse than the movies. Remember is Episode 4 where you see the bloody dismembered hand? Or the burning body and head chopping in Episode 3? There is nothing anywhere near the level of that. The goo splattering on the visors made it more realistic and interesting.

   Brendan and Samwise are right: the violence is fairly graphic for a “T” game. Make sure your kids are mature enough to before letting them play this.

   I’d say Link and Samwise are both right. Samwise gave a good description of the violence, and Link mentioned that it’s not any worse than what you’d find in the Star Wars movies. It’s also one of the best Star Wars games out there, so I’d personally highly recommend it.

   Interesting? Does blood and gore make games more interesting? I think games would be far better without it. It makes my stomach turn.

   It doesn’t bother me to see a fly get squashed. I feel it’s basically the same principle.

   I disagree. The amount of blood shown in this game could never have come from a fly, only from a human-sized creature.

   it’s same principal, not same thing. Would a human sized fly getting squashed bother me? I think not. Especially not if the fly was shooting at me.

    The problem is that these Geonosians don’t act entirely like flies. They walk on two feet, they wield melee weapons, and they speak to one another. They have a humanoid figure and let out human-sized amounts of blood. I feel that playing games like these are only a short distance away from games that have you killing real humans.

    Pretty clean game. EXTREMELY FUN. Language is pretty mild. About the same as the language in Battlefront II, really. The violence, well, it’s a bit more than say… Battlefront. I’d say this is about… eh… 10-12+ (depending on family beliefs, what the kids are used to, what they can ignore, tune-out, etc.) Overall a great game, and safe for Christians to play.

    My son played this when he was 9 and there was no problem what so ever. This game is not that violent.

    I don’t see whats so horrible about the blood.I’ve actually tryed stabbing as many enemies as I could before the visor is cleaned to see how much I could get on it(my current record is 9 droids ^_^), and I bet I’m a lot younger than a lot of people here. and the blood does make it more realistic and interesting. and the movies were a lot more violent

    The game is a bit violent. But when compared to the movies’ violence, it’s just a bit worse. But, all-in-all, it’s general Star Wars-type and T-rated game violence, so, it’s what you expect. It’s got some awesome gameplay, and doesn’t get old fast.

    Hello, I will be your guide to this game on the Xbox. The review will have the nicknames of the delta squad.

    07 is Sev. 62 is Scorch. 40 is Fixer. 38 is Boss. You know the names now. If you don’t do not buy this game. In this game you are Boss(Remember Boss is 38). This game is not for the faint of heart. In the game as you get closer to finishing the game it gets nasty. When you get to meet Wookies you have Trandoshians. The Wookies should soon have one on their back. They move back into some spikes and it kills the Trandoshian. Mind if I call the Tradoshians Trans and when there is one Tran? Well those Trans are hard to kill. There is a bit of humor in this game like 38 in the game says” I wish I would stop doing that”. But they might say da## 2 or 3 times. Let me know if you find out what happened to Sev. Goodbye Star Wars fans as they say in Star Wars “May the force be with you”.

    The movies did have a lot more limb-chopping, but this game has more blood and gore (and a little bit of dismemberment, if you look closely). Which is worse depends on the player, I suppose.

    This is a great star wars. probbably the 3rd best star wars game I’v played. KOTOR and the force unleashed are great to.

    I think that the oil coming out of the droids and the green blood coming out of the Geonosions makes the games more realistic. And anyway, you are not just slaughtering innocent creatures. You are trying to protect the Republic and SAVE innocent lives. This game is great for kids 12+.

    I agree with Striker totally. It’s not like you are killing inoccent creatures. But I have to admit, when I was killing the baby Geonosians, it cinda’ freeked my out. I give i 4 stars out of 5, only because they havent made a sequel yet and that I have no clue what happende to Sec.

    Personally, I don’t think that a high degree of realism is necessarily a good thing, especially when it comes to killing living things (I don’t mind the droids’ oil spurts much, they’re nonliving).

    WOW!! A lot of comments! If only I could play this game, it doesn’t work on my old computer. We might get a mac though, and then I can play what looks like the best game for pc!!!!!

    There isn’t all that much blood and gore, but this game is one of the best Star Wars games made. I also recommend the Republic Commando books, which are well pretty well written, and give a whole new perspective on the Clone Wars and the end of the Republic and Order 66.

    Jake, the republic commando books are very violent. I wouldn’t recommend it to kids under 13. A lot of violence, including disemberment, blood and gore, and cruel treatment to humans. In one part a republic commando shoves his vibroblade up a HUMAN’S trachea. As a christian, this book made my stomach flip and twist and I had a hard time reading it. It is a well written series though, with a great topic, I’ve always wondered what it’s like to be a clone trooper. I read it when I was 9, and I regret doing so.

    I enjoyed this game as well. The goo and oil didn’t bother me. Compared to many games, this is very mild. I also want to see what happens to Sev!

    i agree with striker, when i get it i will be defending the republic, im one of those kind of peeple that feel like, oh mabye the other waterbottle will feel sad if i dont drink it lol! sorta random. also, i have a funny quote for you guys,

    “Computer games don’t affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we’d all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music.”

    Oh samwise in your first comment on this page you said that a clone trooper helmet was on the floor and you didn’t know if the head was in the helmet? Well there is just the helmet!

    I do agree, this is a heavy starwars game. And make no mistake, no gore just blood and oil splatters. Some mild language wrap this game up to be a game full of thrills and mild chills seeing piles of dead clones, some covered in blood. But its nothing you cant overlook. I encouage everybody to at least give this game a shot, if you dont like it just shut it off.

    As blood of any sort makes my stomach get upset I avoided this game. However, I highly recommend the bloodless almost without swearing Star Wars Battlefront 2. Besides with all of the cool Mods that are STILL coming out for Battlefront 2 it's a game you might NEVER get bored of. I bought it on Creigslist and I can't think of a better purchase that I've made in my life.

    Okay, so I just got this game (because of Best of PC which I got because I wanted Battlefront 1) and boy the only thing I can say is wow! The blood however may be a bit of an issue wasn't all that bad for me because the only blood that's in the game comes from Geanosians and those are just big bugs. While I still think Battlefront 2 is better, this is a great (and challenging) Star Wars game. A must have for any Star Wars fan.

    Compared to other fps games, this is a clean one. There's just the goo that comes out of the droids and trandosians that might be a little offensive to very sensitive people. If you like Halo, you would definitely want this game.

    @Samwise Gamgee: I have played this and Call of Duty: World at War. The latter is far gorier. I think though, that the violence has a purpose. To have a game where your slaughtering enemies, and there's no blood or gore, can give a false perception of reality.
