Half Life 2: Episode One

   Great shooter for those OK with the violence (which, as stated in the review, is pretty intense). Great atmosphere, compelling plotlines, although Episode 1 is probably the weakest link of the series so far.

   I had a lot of fun with this game. Yes, I’ll admit that I did jump in my seat like 5 times during the level when you are underground waiting for the lift to come and the only light available is the wimpy little bulb where the lift is, and your constantly weakening flashlight. And did I mention that the certain underground is also a ZOMBIE infested underground? And that the lift is SLOOOOWWLLYYY taking it’s time to come down while you are being attacked by every zombie and headcrab in the game? Lol, I do very much recomend this game, as it’s VERY fun and a lot of levels will really get your blood pumping!

   I do agree with this review.
   Well, that is except for the language.
   For parents out there, I just wanted to warn you, “d–n” is not the only “word” used in the game.
   Alyx also uses other words such as “s–t”, “a–” and even (but rarely ever heard) “G– d–n”.
   Even though this is one of my favorite game, I would not suggest it to those who do not care for hearing God’s name used in the in-correct way.
   Also, (just another warning) zombies are not only gory, but scream for help at the top of their lungs as they walk towards you in an awkward way.

   Uh, what? Zombies don’t “scream for help”. They walk at you while moaning, or just screaming. They can’t talk, so how could they scream for help?

   I’m sure everyone plays through their games with all the sound backwards. If you have to do some trick to find something bad in a game, it’s not even worth mentioning.

   Still, the fact the headcrabbed people are obviously in distress (more so when you set them on fire) has the potential to be extremely disturbing; it’s pretty obvious from their tone of voice that they’re not just random sounds.

   Good point. I guess they are kinda disturbing when set on fire. Makes it sound more like screaming.

   I know that in the Xbox360, they only scream when they’re on fire, but in the computor version, they scream ALL THE TIME, and no parent would want their child playing that sort of a game at such a young age.
   So if you’ve only played the 360 version, it deffinately tells why you didn’t know how bad their constant screaming is.

    None of the versions, be they PC, PS3, or 360, have any differences in content or gameplay. So if it’s in the PC version, then it’s most certainly in the 360 one.

    My friend has the 360 version, and the zombies only scream when they’re on fire, while in mine, they scream like there’s no tommorow.

    This a very fun game and I recommend this for 14+. I am 13 but still found this game very entertaining. The gore is as bad as the first one so not too bad altogether. This game is much darker than the first one throughout the beginning. By darker I mean creepier and darker lighting. The first three or four levels of this game (out of six levels total) are either in tunnels, underground, or in a hospital. There is a part that might be scary for some, you flip a switch for a lift and the power goes out, zombies are everywhere coming at you from every direction. I think that that was the worse part in the entire. If you played the first one play this one.
