Sometimes you do or see something that you feel might not have been appropriate for you. A 13-year-old saying "maybe 14+ would be good" is another way of saying "I liked it, but I think a few parts were a bit too much for me, and would be better suited when I'm a bit older" which is the most honest opinion you'll ever hear.

A good way to see this as a learning experience is to start with HL2 as 13+, but space it out enough so the player is a just a bit older by the time they get to Episode 2 due to the higher intensity of it.

I’m sorry. But I think it’s stupid when kids come on here and recommend games they own for people older than them. I’m 16, and I don’t have any opinions on what age should be allowed to play this.
But if you’re 13, and saying this game should be 14+, it just makes you look like a hypocrite.
I’d be just as happy if you said this game was good for kids 13+. It’s like middle-schoolers giving the movie ratings for adults.

Bottom Line: Only give age recommendations for equal to or less than your own.
