Ok, after a long wait, I finally got my hands on a copy of halo. I had heard many many rumors about the game, the game which had the power to turn Christians into pigheaded, gun shooting freaks. Ok, I figured out that Homeschoolers exaggerate games. By far. Even though their is swearing in the game it is not at all as bad as it sounds, because even if your really good, and don't die and pass though levels quickly, you will only hear a swear word about every 20 minutes. The blood is the worst of the Halo games, with high un-realistic amounts pouring out of your foes when they die, only the blood looks like spray paint. Also, in the computer version, you can turn the blood off.

Now, the weapons are EXTREMELY fun. And creative, with at least 12 different types of weapons so far, this game already exceeds games like Republic Commando and Star Wars Battlefront. Also, the vehicles are the best in any shooter I have played, the jeeps are fantastic, and the other cars/ tanks/ flying machines are also, really cool.

Now, there has been some concern raised by other friends parents about the nature in which the game displays killing. Some have said that the almost gleeful way of killing is a bad thing for anyone, kid or adult. However, I feel as if some people view the game to be a game like GTA 4 in which you wander, killing all in your path, but unlike GTA, you are in a war, and this killing, will save millions of others down on earth. If you you have a problem with this game and not the military, then maybe it's time to re-look at your standards. While this game is dark, and almost displays killing as fun, you are only killing aliens, (unless you can't aim or your buddies hop in the way of your fire) and you have many different options of doing so. Also, some have expressed concern regarding the fact that you are killing humanoids but I reject that completely, they look nothing like humans, more like ape snails or big bugs.

*NOTE!* This review has been written from a 14 year old point of view and I may not have been as conclusive as adults might have been. Also, because of an annoying glitch, the game is stuck at the level Assault on the Control room and that is why I have posted nothing of the flood. Thanks for your time. In Christ, Josh.

As a side note, on the PC you can turn off the blood and gore. This will also turn off bullet holes too so some might want it off make it a "T" game whilst others may want it to remain "M". In addition (some have probably already said this) the game was originally going to be rated "T" but 9/11 changed that.

You know, you can disable the "Decals" in the option menu that for me pretty much did away with most, if not all the blood.

No real moral issue, and the content is not as bad as it sounds. I'd say anyone in double-didgets

I am sorry but I have to disagree. It is, however, worse than metroid prime or medal of honor, but those are some of the better t's. try playing call of duty 3 and you'll see what i mean.
