Genres like sports always have so many games to choose from. Football is no different. However, since EA Games bought exclusive rights to the NFL licence in 2005, there’s been only one place to get your NFL fix: Madden. That doesn’t mean that it won’t be worth taking a step back to the good ole days of 2005, days where there were more options. ESPN 2K5 is without a doubt the best football game ever created. This is not just my opinion, check every videogame wesite, ESPN 2K5 is rated higher than any other football game available.
There is no objectionable content in this game save for the occasional shot of cheerleaders backflipping around at the end of some quarters. Even then, it is not offensive to anyone who has a sense of what is involved in a regular game of football. The game is rated E for Everyone, with no offensive content at all. The gameplay itself is fantastic, simple for those who don’t like to get complicated, and deep enough for those who want to get more control than the average gamer.
Personally, I own over 50 Xbox games and I have played ESPN more than any other game I own. In my opnion it is the best football game to date.
