I'm probably one of the few who has no problem with Final Fantasy. I've played VI, V, and Vi and Tactics Advanced and enjoyed them all (although I never beat any of them.)

To me, it's no worse than Zelda.

Yes, they are somewhat dangerous. I played through FFIX and watched EVERY cutscene of FFX, also I know the story of FFVII, and all three had some of the most excellant stories and characters I have ever seen on a game. Only one other game I've played comes close to matching the story.

But... then we realize that there are a whole lot of spirits, magic, and more throughout most of the stories. I don't know about this particular one, but from what I've seen, that's pretty common to all of them. Be aware of that, and be at the top of your guard. If you feel any sort of guilt in playing, you probably shouldn't.

I used to be a big fan of Final Fantasy. However, I came to realize that the occult themes presented in the game, especially those that are core ideas, cannot simply be overlooked because we want it to be compatible with our faith.

another spiritual issue is that the two friends you fight
*SPOILERS BELOW!!*

have souls that are supposedly non-leaving and after the souls help you, they go to unite with the "Great Soul".
* SPOILERS END HERE*
Now this is either a reference to GOD (maybe not the real one), or to buddhist nirvana. But that can be ignored
