why do game-makers put language in games? it dosnt add any greatness to it, and it does not add and "realism" to it. I mean seriously!! you can make a good game without language ! Correct?!

Philosphically, I'm not entirely sure what to think about it. The final villain does state that the piece of eden was used to be illusion, but the assassin's creed wikipedia states it better than I can.

"Even though the game is constantly hinting that Christianity is a lie, there are many distinctive Christian elements that seem to hint towards the Piece of Eden covering up the truth about Christ, not supporting a lie. This could mean that, contrary to what the Templars would like everyone to believe, there really is a God of some sort, though whether he is in control of the world or not is yet to be seen. Apart from stating all miracles to be a product of the piece of eden and even mentioning a "poor carpenter who turned water into wine". "

"The game developers did do a good job in not going out of their way to offend anybody though."

I played the PS3 version and they went out of their way to say the parting of the Red Sea, and Jesus turning water into wine were both optical illusion used by the Piece of Eden. I do not believe that to be acceptable material in my opinion. Although in the end game you do see symbols and a new testament verse which supports Christ. If you were confused about the end game check this site out: http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=175552

You can turn the talking off when you load the game you'll be on that one table look to the side where it will say options go to sound and turn off the voices its not available when your playing as the Altiar. I do not turn the voices I just mute it when your at the part with Desmond

I actually just got done with this game and I didn't notice any f-words. A few s-words but that was it beyond what has already been discussed.

This game is great pretty, amazing, and well designed graphics. Huge maps. Great gameplay although it can get a little bit repetitive and annoying. Long overall game. Good story line. Bad things are language (in present time when you go to play Desmond). Sadly the F bomb is used once when talking to Lucy where also many other words can be found. Great game all around though. 14+

The game blasphemes God's name by combining it with "d--n." Other profanities show up too, including a few f- and s-words, "b--tard," "a--" and "h---."

You can turn off the gore, but not the voices. Nor would you want to for this would cut out a huge portion of the game and you would have no idea what is going on. As for the language goes, I read a review on another christian site and it says the f-word and the s-word are used a few times toward the end. Also a** appears, hell is used misused, b****** was used once or twice toward the beginning, and the Lord's name is misused in combination with but not limited to d***.

Does the language include the f-word and s-word or what? Also, is there an option to turn the voices off or the gore off?

I've almost completed the game and I've heard next to no language, so I guess that means a very large chunk of it is in the end of the game.
