Amazing. Game.

Accurate review as well!

I agree- this game is undeservingly rated T. I mean, come on? "Crude Humor" is written on the back of it for a very brief attack Wario uses which involves flatulence.

However, I think Zero Suit Samus's ridiculously tight leotard might add to that T-rated ness that the game has been brutally given, despite that none of it is sexual or even implied. I think of it as more "artistic 'nudity'" (if you could call it nude) then obscenity. Oh, and Captain Falcon's uniform has buttons where his, uh, chest spots should be... a little odd, but...

There's absolutely no blood or gore and the fighting style is more cheezy and cartoony then realistic.

-SPOILER BELOW (not like anyone hasn't already heard this)-

However, the game does feature a character from a large scale of M-rated games called Metal Gear named Solid Snake who fights with a large arsenal of realistic army weaponary such as grenades, rocked launchers, and mines. Still no gore, though.
-EVEN MORE SPOILERS-
The Subspace Emissary is also free of any gore. It has your typical Star Wars-esque sequences of airship fighting and lazers blasting. The cinematics are beautifully rendered, and there's next to no dialogue aside from some very short lines some characters say, such as Captain Falcon's "come on". Also, there's a sacrificial quality portrayed in the character Dedede, as he has these buttons that revive trophies, and must sacrifice his own button to give to another character.

I love Smash Bros brawl. I have been playing it alot. It was great. I can't think of anything that would bring this game down except the above mentioned things. I am an Olimar player... now now, I know what you are thinking, "Olimar! He's terrible!" But he really is very good.

Gameplay (5/5)
Just amazing.
Graphics,etc. (5/5)
Nintendo upgraded the graphics alot. You can now see the fabric on Link and Mario's clothes, and the fur or DK's body.
Christian Rating/Morals (4.5/5)
I'm a diehard Smash Bros. fan, but what I'm about to say is probably the only thing that the wonderful people at Guide2Games left out. SSBB has just about everyone that meant something, good and bad. Pokemon, I'm willing to let go as a freebee because of the fact there are none of the Ghostish type in it. But Ganondorf is just creepy. And he should shave.
FINAL CONCLUSION: BEUNO!!!

After a painfully long wait, Super Smash Bros. Brawl is finally here. Does it live up to eager fans' expectations? Yes.

I'll cover this huge game in different sections. My son and I have played it over the past several days and this is our collective list.

1. Gameplay (Score: 5/5)
Impeccable. Obviously a lot of time was spent in the development of this game fine-tuning everything in it to near-perfection. The basic fighting mode is much more fun than it was in the last game in the series (Super Smash Bros. Melee, 2001) and the amazing number of playable characters, items and weapons, battlegrounds, and collectibles allow more or less infite replayability. Plus, Brawl has thrown in a multitude of other modes to ensure that you will be able to play this game for hundreds of hours.

What makes this series so special is that everything in the game is based on Nintendo games (except for Sonic the Hedgehog and Metal Gear Solid references). From well-known characters like Mario to the very obscure ones, such as Mr. Game and Watch, the 35-fighter roster is very impressive. Even the weapons are familiar; anyone remember the Hammer from the original Donkey Kong arcade game?

2. Graphics and Music (Score: 5/5)
While the graphics are without a doubt some of the best on the Wii (especially in the awesome cut-scenes), it's the very diverse soundtrack that made the game spectacular in this respect. Yet again, almost all the music is from Nintendo games, and the new arrangements and remixes are enough to make Nintendo fans leap with joy.

3. Morality Issues (Score: 3/5)
First of all, Brawl IS a fighting game, so don't expect to find a non-violent, completely sterile atmosphere. On the other hand, the violence is so mild (and there's no blood) that I seriously doubt that it would mentally harm a child in any way. There are a few potentially frightening attacks and enemies in the game, but it shouldn't be that big of a problem.

There is no offensive language at all in the game, as most of the characters only speak in short sentences and very rarely at that.

However, there were some obvious modesty issues with two female characters in the game, namely Barbara and Zero Suit Samus. It obviously wasn't needed and the game would have been much better without it.

There are other characters in the game with the same problem, but much milder (although the bird creature Oocoo orginally from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess still creeps me out).

--- Overall Score (4/5) ---
Though Brawl does have some moral issues, it remains one of the best Wii games in existence and deserves your attention. To pass up this fantastic title would be a tragedy, so do yourself a big favor and go get the game!
