Great game prabbably one of the best racing games I’ve ever played it’s a nice 4 out of 5.

This is an awesome game!! Definitely in my top 3 for best wii games alongside Super Smash bros brawl and super mario galaxy. All these games are Christian friendly too.

Although I don’t own this game I’ve played it numerous times. I think it’s a great game, it’s easy to get used to, and is a lot of fun for the whole family.

This is in response to the comments about the items being overpowering.
I agree, numerous times I have been extremely close to winning just before I’m blown up, and then blown away back into last place.
However, it should be noted that in VS. mode (And maybe Battle; I haven’t checked.), it is possible to go the “View Rules” section, and there, there are four options to choose from about items; Balanced, Aggressive, Strategic, or None.
Balanced is the default tone that most races are like.
Aggressive makes more powerful items, like stars, giant mushrooms, and bullet bills become more common.
Strategic tones down the items to mostly things like turtle shells and bananas.
And of course, None turns them off completely, so you can have a racing-only, battle-free game.

Oh, and to comment about the character models, I think they made them a little blocky so the frame rate wouldn’t be through the roof. They did it particularily for the online matches. Even if the characters are a little lo-rez, you can tell they tried to make them a little slick and blurry even through the blockiness. THere is some definite insane and awesome level designs though, namely the Star Cup, which is filled with some pretty amazing stages.

I agree with the overpowered items. I’ve had a few instances where I’m nice and ahead of everyone in first place, then, I get hit with a blue shell, shocked with lightning and bombarded with red shells all at the same time, putting me in last place and causing me to lose the race. *sigh*… I wouldn’t say its any better thend ouble dash either, but, I haven’t played it enough to make that judgement. I have only owned the game for 2 days now.

Good review. I’ve played the game. Pretty fun, if you like racing games, Mario Games, or Nintendo games in-general. (I recommend it.)
