Well the whole Mephisto's realm thing is a pretty big part of the game. I mean it adds to the story. specifically, why you cant play as night crawler or jean grey. And i mean really it has some things wrong with it but if it bothers you just dont play it. You shouldnt dis the whole game beause of one level.

This is a great game ruined by the inclusion of the Mephisto realm. Why did they have to shoe horn in occult references in this game? This level also features an upside down "goats head" pentagram which is a blatant satanic symbol. As for the whole "Well, it's not really Hell, just a different dimension" argument? I believe Shakespeare said "A rose by any other name…" etc, etc

Its not hell its just another dimension made to look like hell, the comparison with threatening someone with gun and saying its friendly is rediculas and irrelevent. It may look like hell but that doesn't mean anything.

@SeriousGamer: You know, I agree with you. No, according to Marvel, Mephisto's realm is not Hell, however, the implications are so strong that one can't help but think to oneself, "This is Hell I'm fighting in, not an alternate dimension."

Hey guys. I am a Christian and so is my dad. We both played this game. There is nothing wrong with it. Believe me. And honestly, these are just video games, the only games that I know of personally are just straightforward anti Christian are shin megami tensei devil summoner 1 & 2 and devil survior.

additionally also on the other hand, NO ONE knows what a demon looks like. These scary looking impish beings are made up (their looks, mostly pagan origins.) So technically yes and no you are fighting demons. But Christianity isn’t about splitting hairs, it is about principle and in the end it is your choice, you answer for your choices to God, so be careful with your choices.

@Zach: Its a good point, but it doesnt matter what they say they are. What matters is what they are attempting to portray IMO. I can hold up a gun to someone's head to get them to do something and call it 'friendly persuasion,' cus that's what they call it in my 'dimension.' But it doesn't make it so.

As much as I enjoyed this game, Mephisto’s realm always made me on the edge, not with fear, but with the thought, should I really be playing this? But to be honest I had a bad impression even from entering doctor strange’s home. I’ve always remembered and regarded the fact that when Jesus was tempted by the devil, the devil did not use blatently evil things but things that seemed harmless or even good. In my opinion if something blatently has evil connotations (esp with the pentagram and the whole ghostrider thing) I’d stay away.

I hadn’t been up on my superhero trivia until I played unfortunately, so I also thought it was hell as well. Glad it turns out it wasn’t.

I really enjoyed this game. The story was decent and the gameplay was great, especially if you do it coop on four player. And I liked the variety of characters available, eventhough some of their attacks seemed only slightly different than others. It was still great fun. I actually picked it up again the other day to work on leveling some characters.
