Fable II

   This game is a modestly violent game with bloodspray and prostitutes.

   I think that this game should be played by mature christians. the violence and language is the least you should worry about. The adult content is pretty bad. not like GTA4 but its still bad. The nice thing is that you can go through the game without doing to many of the evil things (killing innocents, sleeping with prostitutes, etc) if you want to. this is where it requires a mature person. you have to be able to do the good things and try not to do the bad stuff in the game. so i think that this should be for a mature follower of christ…

   i dont think that this game by christians at all because of the content. i can take violence and blood and mild language but this has too much

   True, but I find the premise interesting in that everything you do is your choice. It’s like The Sims 2 for me. You can do bad things in that game, but I have no desire to.

   This is a very enjoyable and addicting game. You adventure the land, complete quests, and meet a variety of interesting characters, not to mention fend yourself again bandits, trolls, and balverines. As to the whole “moral” point of view on this game. Fable 2 provides intriguing aspects to moral decision making within the gameplay. Mind you that EVERY decision the hero makes, is directly based upon the player’s actions. Aside from defending yourself against enemies, the game does not force your character to do anything. To add another point, even if bad decisions are made within the game, consequences will follow, which reflect the true nature surrounding a life of evil within the real world.

   Fallout three is waaaay worse. im thirteen and i got the game on xbl. like me said it depends if you try and kill the people, in which you have to turn off the safety get out your weapon, and lock on the person and kill them. the beginnig ( spoiler alert) is sad couse the kids sister get shot and your guy does too. but like i said it all depends on the morals, they leave the option, like in the real world, to kill.

   Uh, no. In Oblivion, you make an offering to a god by giving money, and in return you get health/magic, etc. In Fable, to please a god, you go sacrifice innocent people and get a demon bow in return.

    I think that's splitting hairs on both parts. Fable and Oblivion are different games but in the background the same thing. Both contain "Magic" and both contain wicked forces and evil spirits and gods. I don't think it matters on the grand scale HOW you interact with them so much that you DO directly or indirectly lol

    Nerdy observation: Actually you do that in Morrowind. In Oblivion you only have to go and pray to a god at an altar and you get your health cured.

    …what? It doesn't matter how you interact with them? So there is no difference morally between a game in which you play as a guy killing evil spirits and one where you play as an evil spirit killing people? That's seem a bit ridiculous to me.

    The point of the game is to choose your path. How is this any different from reality in that respect? You only truly encounter the negatives if you choose to, but the temptation will always be there.

    If you avoid this game because the temptation exists, you might as well lock yourself in a closet with a Bible and never leave, because overcoming temptation is a part of life, and this game shows the consequences of your actions in a very visible way. If you don’t want horns and glowing red eyes, then be a good person.

    I dont really think this is a christian safe game. it has alot of witchcraft and spell casting in it.
