No it doesn't. To do spells all you do is press a button and you send flying swords at your enemy (one spell). The closest thing to witchcraft is that you fight undead and can raise the dead to help you if you buy that spell.

One thing I've noticed about Fable 2 is how much more personality it has than say, Oblivion. It mocks itself in hilarious ways, and is much more lighthearted than the first game. Whereas in Fable you sacrificed people to Skorm in a gruesome and serious matter, in Fable 2 it is played to comedic effect. The Temple of Shadows' sacrificial room is laid out like a gameshow, with a "wheel of misfortune" that does everything from electrocuting victims to changing their gender. I'm not saying that the comedy justifies the evil aspect of what you're doing, but if you don't take it seriously it's hilarious.

And as others have said, the game is all about choices. You can choose to help people and be loved by all, or you can go around helping bandits and pillaging towns. You can be monogamous or have 3 wives and 6 children - On a side note, having multiple wives is ANNOYING, as they'll divorce you if you don't stop by every couple of days to chat - and yet all your actions have consequences. Aid the bandits, and 10 years later the town will be poor and crime ridden. Mistreat your wife and she'll divorce you. Sleep with a few prostitutes and you'll probably get an STD or have an unwanted child. And that child will model him or herself after your character, the thought of which makes me pause and think even as I play as the Dark Knight of Destruction.

Still, my Dad played Oblivion and managed to get by without doing that, so it's not really that big a deal.

The point of the game is to choose your path. How is this any different from reality in that respect? You only truly encounter the negatives if you choose to, but the temptation will always be there.

If you avoid this game because the temptation exists, you might as well lock yourself in a closet with a Bible and never leave, because overcoming temptation is a part of life, and this game shows the consequences of your actions in a very visible way. If you don't want horns and glowing red eyes, then be a good person.

...what? It doesn't matter how you interact with them? So there is no difference morally between a game in which you play as a guy killing evil spirits and one where you play as an evil spirit killing people? That's seem a bit ridiculous to me.
