It was a real pleasure getting to your site recently. I got here today hoping to uncover interesting things. I was not let down. My point, but Peach and Daisy's outfits haven't become like Mario's overalls yet, maybe because women usually DO wear smaller stuff in Summer?

Mario without overalls would be like Knuckles (or any Sonic character) without gloves.

Like Seriousgamer said, running wearing a dress or longer pants could be a problem, especially during the time this game takes place (summer).
I don't like wearing lots of clothing during summer, just my T-shirt, shorts, and shoes, and apparently, they wanted Peach and Daisy in a more regular summer outfit. But of course not Luigi, Mario, and Wario, they have their traditional outfits.

@David: I'd still recommend this game though, if you ever do get a Wii. It doesn't really spoil the entire game. And I can see why too. Somehow I doubt running in a long dress would be easy. But anyway, it is cool.

That sounds so cool! I wish I had a Wii. Oh well. I’m not too happy about Princesses Peach and Daisy though.
