Oh...I just knew it was a hack and slash game with a neat looking animation. Although, from gameinformer's review from all that long ago, they said that you could see wolverine's bones and vital organs when he was mortally injured, and you could watch them heal.
Although one thing I do know, I agree with you, I even say save the PS2 version for 15, 16 or 17. Certainly not something I really wanted to see at ten or eleven, whatever age, that was disturbing, that intro was, game was fun though. Its...certainly confusing at times, there was some thing I was supposed to find, and I NEVER found that game, so I quit. Traded it in.

A few things: One, No More Heroes is certainly NOT more recommendable than X-Men: Origins. Far too much sexual content. That said, Origins isn't all that clean content-wise, but it's certainly not horrible either. I would say 16 or 17.

Maybe even older, actually. I can't recommend this gore-fest to a 15 year old wholeheartedly, if you want something fun to do that has hacking and slashing, no more heroes might actually be a better choice, I don't know, as I've not played it, but look up some gameplay on youtube of both of them, and decide, or let your parents decide, I don't know, one of 'em lol.
But realize they're both probably really bloody, so I could say the best idea would be getting metal gear solid 2 and playing the VR missions as ninja Raiden...but that's not really hacking and slashing, but all in all, MGS would be loads cleaner than X-men Origins Wolverine, on the PS2 version of XO:W, within the first ten or twenty something minutes, you see Wolverine holding his girlfriend in his arms, and she has blood all over her...it's disgusting, to put it lightly. And that's just the regular version...
but honestly, something else I could recommend, red steel, it's a first person hack and slash where you can switch between swords and guns, and if I remember correctly, use both at the same time, I might be wrong, but it's still cleaner that this.

I wouldn't recommend it to you unless you're around 15, DS version would be around ten.

So what would be an appropriate age to play this game then?
