   It's worth noting that God can be called out, which I think is quite irreverent.

   That you can call God forth isn't as bad as the fact that he can be killed if you put him in a fight against, say, Godzilla.

   It's not really irreverent at all. Considering that typing in "Zeus" gets you the exact same character, it's pretty obvious they went with "god" as opposed to "God." That is, they're not using any specific god there. Unless, of course, you have a need to find fault with the game, in which case I suppose you could claim that they're equating Zeus and God. But seriously, it's not particularly irreverent. They went out of their way to avoid offending people, do you really think they're going to make Christians the one glaring exception?

   …Though typing in "god" and then "atheist" gets some very humorous results…

   I saw Nintendo Power article say to try typing "time machine" and "your mother" for humorous results.
