The Beatles: Rock Band

   So, knowing the bands history, what do you guys think about this game? Personally, I don't think that should matter as the game from what I heard dodges all that kind of stuff, and it seems as if all you paid attention to was the songs and not what the band did, then nothing is really that bad.

   I agree. I was born and raised on the old bands, like The Beatles. I'm sure a lot of them did things I wouldn't like or encourage. But I paid more attention to their music, not their lives. I see nothing wrong with a lot of songs they did. They're not inheriently good or evil. What it all boils down to is I wouldn't have much of a problem with this game. I wouldn't buy it, mostly because I can't play, but I see nothing evil about buying it.

   Well, regarding the innppropriate elements mentioned in the content descriptors, I would still buy this game. I mean, it's your choice whether you want to play those songs or not, so, just don't. In reply to Serious Gamer, I was raised on the Beatles, too. And, it wasn't until later that I found out about the dirty side of their lives. I find that common with most rock bands. The most stable rock band I listen to is Rush. They all kept their first marriages, had kids, etc. You can tell whether a band members are any good or not as people by looking at their lyrics. As Ayn Rand said something like, "When make music onstage, you're putting your soul on display." I've kinda got the same idea. Check out the lyrics of Rush, particularly the lyrics to A Farewell to Kings.

   I looked at them, and thought it was a pretty good song with a great message. Are their lyrics typically free from objectionable content, cause they always seemed like a clean band?

   I love this game. Easily my favorite music game now. And it's a ton clean then the other music games.
