   I played it. The blood and gore was blown way out of proportion (and i hate it when game developers do that). before playing i wasnt familiar with the wolfinstien series i just thought it was a WW2 scifi monster/mutant shooter sorta thing.

   Yeah, that's one of my favs. I'm playing Wolfenstein series since when I was 5 years old?
   Doom series is also great for Christians. You can kill thousands of devils and demons in it. So much fun and enjoyment!

   I was going to buy this game as a christian. But I said hey, this game has strong language and that is an element that really destroys first person shooters. I used to play doom and quake but these games are so demonic I finally let go. That includes wolfenstien 3D. Bye Wolfenstein.

   Dude, just because you can kill demons and devils in a game doesn't mean it's a game for christians. Doom 3 is one of the most violent and disturbing games I've seen in a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time. Sure, your killing God's enemies, but is that what God wants you to witness? Violence, death, and satanic imagery? Doesn't really seem like a christian game to me, bud.

   I agree with you Anthony, but don't forget that it's just a game. It's silly to call Doom series "satanic"…
   It bothers me when mainstream media try to show wars without blood. For example Narnia movies for children.

   I remember playing the old one. I forgot about it for awhile and recently downloaded it on xbla and I realized how cheesy it was haha. Love it though. I haven't gotten a chance to play the new one, I heard it could've been worked on more than it was, and was somewhat disappointing.

   Yes, but the violence in the Bible is read, not played, seen, or heard. Books are different than videogames which can, and oftentimes do intensify things out of proportion in a disgusting manner. And Doom is satanic…the demons, hell, etc.
