That said, the Good powers are much better than the Evil ones: the good ones make you generally stronger and the final one for the bolt gives you energy back every time you hit a bad guy, while the evil ones tend to focus on random destruction to the point they're not actually all that useful in straight-up combat. Electrifying and blowing up cars is only really good if you're destroying everything in sight.

It's the same in Infamous 2 where going Good effectively gives you a machine gun which regenerates its own ammunition any time you don't miss with it. 2 isn't really as good as 1 morality-wise; because the decisions are external (Cole is deciding between two people's ideas) and the cutscenes always have Cole play neutral no matter his moral status, he comes across as not really caring about anything. It's kinda understandable in 1 that even a good Cole might be tempted by an easy, evil option that presents itself to him, but I can't see why "hero" Cole in 2 would even hang around with the unhinged bad-morality Nix. Plus of course it has the traditional hypocritical preacher stereotype as the main bad guy.

I got this game as a part of the "Welcome Back" offer from Sony. I was willing to overlook the swearing, and enjoyed playing as the hero of Empire City. It was cool to heal the civilians and do anything I could to increase my "good status". But the "Dinner with Sasha" mission, where you first encounter her face-to-face, is where this game crossed the line for me. Her constant use of sexual references and overall demonic appearance was just too much. I personally don't recommend this game, there a much better choices out there than this.

@Guide2Games: Thank you for making these reviews, I wish there were more of them! I certainly prefer to read your reviews over IGN's or Gamespot's anyday!

I honestly don't see why this is rated "strong caution". As long as you play as the hero, and follow that path, the game is quite clean, and it's not a game I would say you should have strong caution to. If the game consisted of only playing the evil route, I totally see your point of strong caution, but you don't have to play the evil route at all. And even if you don't play the evil route, it's still worth the 20$ you can get it for right now.

I've read most of the game reviews on this site, and it really just strikes me that this is a "some issues" game, and definitely not a "strong caution" one. I think it would have been a lot better to rate it "some issues", and give a note saying the game's offensiveness can be ramped up a bit if the player so chooses so, but never has to. Not a big issue, I just think someone who's never played the game and is reading the review will get a very incorrect impression of the game. Especially seeing the bold "strong caution" label, which isn't deserving.

I would say this game is appropriate for ages 13 and up.
