   If your mom/dad/legal guardian says you can't play it without disabling the blood, you're outta luck. Especially because the blood is the least of the issues with this game. The vast majority of parents never see past the blood though, so if you have the PC version you may be able to find a mod or hack and trick your poor uninitiated parental unit into letting you play.

   But no, there is no gore toggle. Sorry. Best fix for this would be to wait until you're 17. Or if you happen to be a parent and are wondering if it can be shut off to play co-op with your child…no, it can't. Try some TimeSplitters or Ratchet Deadlocked co-op instead, both are a blast and a good deal less foul to young ears

   To tell you the truth, I never noticed the language that much, it never seemed much of a problem for me. The guns were always louder

   Thanks for the response, my parents actually mostly let us decide for ourselves whether a game is okay to play according to our conscience. I typically don't like blood our gore in games, so if they look interesting, I ask about the options on the content.

   This was probably one of my favorite games out for Xbox 360. Diablo 2/WOW weapon/item quantity(17 Million + different guns with WOW weapon rarity levels), Call of Duty controls, and very "interesting" characters and enemies alike. There is, as the review mentions, LOTS of blood, gore, foul language, and dark mature humor. The language that you would hear during most of the game (mindlessly dismembering hordes of bandits, midgets, and monsters of various types with a seemingly endless assortment of ridiculous guns) becomes background noise, as Red noted, but I think still contains foul language. I think the best part of the game is trying to find "the gun", amongst some of the most original guns that have graced the Xbox 360, that can decimate baddies at will.

   Examples of these original guns: Devastating sub machine guns that shoots 4 bullets at once 10+ times/second, revolvers that shoot shotgun shells, shotguns that shoot smiley face spreads, and (my favorite) fully automatic sniper rifles. "Legendary" (Orange) guns usually have very clever quotes within them such as a Vladof Revolution "Guns of the revolution will never fall silent!" has incredibly large clips.

   If you're in a situation where you can't play excessively violent video games with bad language and mature (not too sexual) humor then I would not recommend getting this game as you will NEVER be able to play it.

   This is a great game. I barely even notice the language in it, as said before.

   this game is one of my favorites. i wouldnt let anyone under 14 play it though because of the violence and gore but the language is barely audible and is a non factor…
