Mild Violence: Mild hand-to-hand combat and some gun and projectile combat against LEGO figures, enemies fall apart and disappear.

Destruction: Explosions, some vehicle-to-vehicle combat, parts of the environment can be destroyed

Mild Suggestive Content: One female character wears a skimpy outfit of leaves, a few kisses are seen

Other Negative Elements: Game offers the chance to play villain characters.

Mild Language, Violence This is an action game in which players control Marvel Comic superheroes in a quest to protect the United States against a terrorist attack from a (fictional) foreign country. Players roam through realistic urban settings with other team members and fight hordes of Soldiers/Mercenaries, Robots/Cyborgs and Super Humans. Players use hand-to-hand combat (e.g., punches and kicks), fantastical superpowers (e.g., lightning bolts, blasts of fire, slicing claws), and sometimes guns to defeat machine gun-wielding enemies. The battle is constant and frenetic and is highlighted by realistic gunfire, explosions, and slashing/punching sound effects. Some profanity (e.g., "bullsh*t") appears in dialogue.

Rating: squeaky-clean

With stunning visuals and incredible gameplay Kingdom hearts 2 is one of the best RPGs on the PS2. Mild use of magic and summons, a midriff bearing girl, and walking through the Underworld might scare some off. But this game is one for the history books.

VIOLENCE: You shoot ghosts with your proton pack, slime gun, stasis stream, meson collider, and anything else that will make capturing them or destroying them an easy task. You also are attacked by undead zombie-like creatures, which disappear shortly after they have been killed.
LANGUAGE: Mild-moderate profanities are used here and there throughout the game, such as d*mn, b**ch and hell.
SEXUAL CONTENT: Suggestive dialogue is scattered here and there throughout the game. Peter hits on a woman with a few tongue-in-cheek terms, and other reference are made to adult shops and bookstores.
CRUDE HUMOR: Crass and crude bathroom humor is used throughout the game.
SUPERNATURAL Content: People are possessed by ghosts very frequently, and sometimes the areas haunted by ghosts. The final mission involves destroying a god who has been brought back by means of some supernatural ritual.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince is an adventure game based on the novel and movie of the same name. Players can engage in various activities that include potion making, magic dueling, and competing in Quidditch matches. Duels consist of casting spells against both fellow students and enemies. Cutscenes sometimes include mild provocative references such as “snogging” and “getting lucky”. Words such as “hell” are occasionally used in the dialogue.

Combat against non-human enemies. Enemies may be cut in half, one instance of combat against another human, blood is shown when player character is struck, player character can be impaled by traps, a bloodless battle scene is shown. One character coughs up blood

Fantasy Magic

Plot involves substance and items that can control time. At certain points, the player character sees visions of the future. Final boss uses fantasy-style magic.

Sexual Content

Main female character wears bikini-top style outfit. Some female looking enemies wear revealing outfits. Cutscene involves a bath scene between two characters and hints at sexual intercourse. A kiss is also seen.

Rating summary: This is an action game based on the characters and events of the X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie. Players assume the role of the clawed mutant Wolverine as he traverses a variety of locations to battle enemy soldiers, robots, and other mutants in frequent hand-to-hand combat. Players use claws to slash, stab, impale, and dismember enemy characters resulting in splashes and stains of red blood. Close-up camera angles and slow motion effects accentuate the violence of some finishing moves: enemies' arms are cut off, torsos are split in half, heads are pulled out in dramatic fashion. During one sequence, Wolverine grabs an enemy and thrusts his body head-first into rotating helicopter blades. Wolverine also performs "berserker" moves that enable players to attack/kill several enemies at once, slashing bladed claws at a frenetic pace. Some profanity (e.g., "sh*t" and "a*s") can be heard in the dialogue.

Violence and Gore: Enemies spurt small amounts of red blood when hit, and the blood later pools around their bodies. Environments are sometimes have blood stained sheets, walls, etc. Gruesome looking monsters are present, and there are a few disturbing scenes that lack any violence.

Oppressive atmosphere: dealing with frighting horror, death and the macabre

Being of the supernatural horror genre, the game has many themes dealing with demons, Satan, and God. But, as with previous games in the series, SH3 clearly defines the lines between good and evil, and during the game you are clearly trying to defeat the evil.

The sexual content is limited to some revealing clothing. Hell is used about 10 times, and B**ch twice.
