Nintendo's been in the habit lately of dragging up old franchises. Many of you have no doubt heard of the much-anticipated Wii installments of Punch-Out and Sin and Punishment. Well, preceding these was a game that managed to fly under the radar- Wario Land: Shake It. It is the fifth installment of the Wario Land series, and it is the first game we've gotten in a few years now. But how does it hold up in 2008's gaming market? After all, the first impression of the game is that it's been dumbed down for kids- the name alone feels childish, so much so that when I purchased this, I actually pretended I was a clueless older sibling Christmas-shopping. Seriously. But in spite of that, long-time fans and first-timers like me will find a lot to love about Wario Land: Shake It.

Developed by Square Enix & ArtePiazza and featuring character and monster design by famed manga artist Akira Toriyama; Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen is a remake of the NES game Dragon Warrior IV, featuring enhanced graphics, a new localization, revamped battle system and extra post game content.

Resistance: Fall of Man puts players in post-WW2 Britain, in an intense and occasionally frightening war against vicious aliens. The alternate history story, along with some excellent creature design and inventive weaponry make Resistance one of the best first-person shooters available. It is violent and scary enough to warrant the M-rating, however it steers clear of the gore and pervasive profanity that plagues more offensive shooters.

New arrivals are encouraged to purchase a biohazard or bullet proof suit. 300 rounds of ammunition are recommended for any journeys that last longer than 2 hours. Medkits and food are an absolute necessity. And don’t forget: shoot anything that isn’t human, especially if it’s shooting back at you. Welcome to The Zone. Welcome to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Introduction The Legend of Zelda is a popular franchise and Twilight Princess is the first Zelda game created for the Nintendo Wii, along side the Nintendo Gamecube. It is an action/adventure game which follows the franchise's main character, Link, on his quest to cleanse Hyrule from the evil Twilight which is spreading throughout the land.

In a day in which shooting games are the norm, I find it quite refreshing to be able to play a slow paced game in which suspense surrounds both the story and the action. “Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow” is just that. Featuring spies, diverse locales, and tons of gadgets, “Pandora Tomorrow” is bound to please anyone who is remotely interested in modern military espionage or stealth games.
