Spoilers Ahead

May or May Not Apply To Half-Life for the Playstation 2 or Half-Life Source

Story:
Half-Life starts a story that would continue for years afterwards, spawning Half-Life 2 and three more episodes, plus tons of spin-offs and mods. The hero, Gordon Freeman, was hired by the Black Mesa Research facility. He was going to work on a unknown project to connect the human world with a alien race. So, of course, the project goes wrong, and Freeman lets thousands of aliens into Black Mesa. Now, trying to get out and survive, Gordon has to use his brains and brawn to kill and outsmart the aliens and the grunts that are trying to kill him as well.

What do you get when you combine the design approach of those who made The Incredibles, the graphical power of the Source engine, and the fast-paced strategic shooter play of Counter-Strike?

If anyone other than Valve had gotten the Team Fortress 2 license, we might have gotten a blasphemy unto gaming that would have to be buried right beside the stockpile of E.T. Atari games. Thankfully, Valve did get the license, and what we have is the best class-based FPS since the first Team Fortress 2.

Half-Life 2: Episode Two is the second installment in Valve Corporation's series of episodes for the computer game Half-Life 2.

Continuing with Valve's method of orienting each episode around a particular theme or set of technologies, Episode Two focuses on expansive environments, travel and less linear play. Following the closing events of Episode One, it sees Gordon Freeman and the series' other major players moving away from City 17 to the surrounding countryside. This episode was released as a part of a bundled package, The Orange Box, and is available via Steam worldwide.
